Chef

About the role

HC-One is seeking a dedicated Chef to join the kitchen team at Pendleton Court care home. You will prepare and serve wholesome, homemade meals that meet residents' nutritional needs while providing comfort and enjoyment each day.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents in a timely manner.
• Plan menus that are balanced, appealing, and meet dietary requirements.
• Maintain the highest standards of food safety and hygiene, following HACCP procedures.
• Ensure kitchen cleanliness and proper storage of ingredients.
• Collaborate with care staff to accommodate special dietary requests.

Required profile

• Qualified cook with an S/NVQ Level 2 in Catering & Hospitality or Professional Cookery.
• Holder of a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Good understanding of HACCP and food safety regulations.
• Team‑player with a positive, caring attitude.
• Awareness of safeguarding responsibilities and willingness to undertake related training.
