Chef – Luxury Retirement Home

About the role

We are seeking a passionate and reliable Chef to join a warm residential care setting in Crosby. This part‑time role (25.5 hours per week) involves preparing nutritious, home‑cooked meals that support the health and enjoyment of up to 20 residents.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook high‑quality meals in line with planned menus.
• Cater for a range of dietary, cultural and medical requirements.
• Maintain food hygiene, cleanliness and kitchen safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP and food safety regulations.
• Monitor stock levels, rotate stock and assist with ordering supplies.
• Work closely with the care team to meet residents' nutritional needs.
• Present meals attractively and serve them on time.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Chef, preferably in a care home, healthcare or hospitality environment.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards (Level 2 Food Hygiene preferred).
• Ability to prepare meals for diverse dietary needs.
• Organisational and time‑management skills.
• Caring, patient and respectful attitude towards older people.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a supportive team.
