Chef Manager

About the role

The Chef Manager will join Livv Workplace’s workplace experience team in Canary Wharf, creating a vibrant catering environment that supports employee wellbeing and productivity. Acting as an ambassador for exceptional workplace experience, you will oversee food service delivery, drive innovation and ensure the highest standards of quality and service.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the workplace catering portfolio.
• Produce food to the highest quality using current cooking techniques and emerging food trends.
• Plan, coordinate and order all food requirements in line with client numbers and budgets.
• Maintain consistent service standards through recruitment, training and performance management of kitchen staff.
• Build and nurture strong client relationships and promote new initiatives.
• Ensure meals are delivered on time, meet budgetary targets and comply with agreed quality standards.
• Manage supplier relationships and ensure appropriate supplies are sourced.
• Oversee budgeting, contract profitability and accurate record‑keeping.
• Maintain clean and safe kitchen environments, adhering to HSEQ and food safety regulations.
• Communicate regularly with the team through briefings, meetings and documented updates.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing catering or food service operations.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to grow business and meet budget targets.
• Excellent client‑facing skills and a track record of building lasting relationships.
• Leadership capability to recruit, train and motivate kitchen staff.
• Organisational skills to plan menus, control stock and manage contracts.
