About the role
This is a full‑time, fixed‑term position for a Chemistry Teacher at a non‑selective state secondary school for boys in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames. The role starts in September and offers a day rate between £195 and £270, dependent on experience and qualifications.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging Chemistry and Science lessons to Year 7‑11 classes.
- Prepare and mark assessments, ensuring alignment with the national curriculum.
- Contribute to the development of the science department and collaborate with colleagues across the school.
- Potentially expand teaching to KS5 Chemistry as the timetable evolves.
Required profile
- Right to work in the United Kingdom.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK or an overseas equivalent.
- Clear and up‑to‑date Enhanced DBS.
- Experience teaching Chemistry in UK schools, either as a newly qualified teacher or an experienced practitioner.
