Chief Finance Officer – North & West Yorkshire

About the role

The position is a self‑employed Chief Finance Officer providing part‑time CFO services to ambitious private businesses in North & West Yorkshire with revenues between £2 million and £50 million. You will support owners and CEOs in achieving growth, acquisitions, and long‑term financial stability while enjoying flexibility and autonomy.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver strategic CFO services to mid‑size private companies, helping them scale and reach their business “Everest”.
• Build and manage a personal portfolio of clients, identifying opportunities to add value and drive financial performance.
• Provide insight on growth, acquisition, consolidation and lifestyle‑focused financial planning.
• Collaborate with the Regional Director and a network of CFOs to share best practices and maintain high service standards.
• Operate autonomously within the company’s model, balancing independence with team support.

Required profile

• Qualified chartered accountant (ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Proven experience as a CFO or Finance Director for businesses in the £2‑50 million range.
• Strong commercial finance and business‑strategy expertise.
• Demonstrated ability to build long‑lasting client relationships.
• Self‑starter attitude with ambition, energy and a “can‑do” mindset.
