Chief Marketing Officer

About the role

Our client is a fast‑growing tech scale‑up in the health & fitness sector, generating £10m in turnover with 100 employees. They are looking for a visionary Chief Marketing Officer to shape and execute a unified brand and marketing strategy across their subscription app, physical product range and manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Report directly to the Founder and develop an integrated brand & marketing strategy.
• Drive growth across wholesale, trade, retail B2B, D2C and e‑commerce channels.
• Own brand positioning, tone of voice and creative direction.
• Manage a £1 million marketing budget and lead go‑to‑market for new app features, product launches and campaigns.
• Expand the marketing team to deliver a full‑stack solution.
• Develop non‑digital channels such as PR, print, TV, radio and podcasts.
• Introduce lifestyle‑focused brand guidelines and trade marketing assets.
• Lead performance marketing (paid social, paid search, affiliate), content, influencer and community strategy.
• Oversee CRM, email, lifecycle marketing and app‑store optimisation.
• Collaborate with product and tech teams to align features with brand messaging.
• Report monthly to the board and manage agency, freelance and technology partners.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience marketing subscription‑based apps or services.
• Track record of multi‑channel, B2C brand building and scaling performance.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets of at least £1 million.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
