Chief of Staff

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Chief of Staff to support the CEO in overseeing the global operations of our charity. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will work closely with the senior management team both in the UK and internationally.

Key responsibilities

• Prioritise day‑to‑day activities with the CEO and senior management team.
• Assist the CEO with external matters and deputise as directed.
• Support strategy development and implementation.
• Act as the primary link for international staff and coordinate visits.
• Lead development of policies and procedures, focusing on Data Protection and Safeguarding.
• Drive organisational development to ensure appropriate structure and capacity.
• Manage the UK office budget, infrastructure, staff inductions and training.
• Oversee IT procurement and non‑fundraising office contracts.

Required profile

• Confident, dynamic senior manager with proven leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work within a senior management team and across diverse stakeholders.
• Track record of delivering against competing priorities and deadlines.
• Experience in military, MOD, civil service or charity sectors is desirable.
