Chief People Officer

About the role

Content Guru is seeking a strategic leader to head its global People function from the head office in Bracknell, Berkshire. The Chief People Officer will shape people strategies that drive business growth, colleague engagement, development and retention while ensuring compliance with UK employment law.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the People team, setting objectives, performance measures and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Design and implement People plans that align with the company’s commercial goals and cultural values.
• Oversee talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management and succession planning across the organisation.
• Provide expert advice on employee relations, handling complex disciplinary, grievance and restructuring matters.
• Drive People projects, including mergers, acquisitions, TUPE transfers and cultural improvement programmes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and CIPD Level 7 membership or certification.
• Extensive experience leading HR teams, managing complex employee‑relations cases and delivering strategic learning initiatives.
• Deep knowledge of UK employment legislation and strong commercial acumen.
• Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder‑management skills.
