Childcare Apprenticeship Trainer (Full‑time)

About the role

We are a leading Further Education college seeking a passionate Childcare Apprenticeship Trainer. You will guide apprentices through their learning journey, delivering vocational knowledge both in the classroom and on workplace visits across Buckinghamshire.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct onsite assessments, visiting workplaces to evaluate apprentices' progress and competency.
• Deliver up‑to‑date childcare theory and practical skills in classroom settings and on‑the‑job.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with employers, ensuring high‑quality training experiences and identifying additional learning opportunities.
• Mentor and support learners throughout their apprenticeship, helping them develop employability and life skills.

Required profile

• Strong passion for learning and a commitment to helping students reach their potential.
• Willingness to innovate, experiment with new ideas and use digital tools to boost engagement.
• Open to gaining teaching qualifications while working, starting with a Level 3 Award in Education and Training.

Required skills

• Relevant industry experience in childcare.
• Ability to assess competency against apprenticeship standards.
• Effective communication for both classroom and workplace environments.
