Children Support Worker

About the role

Make a real difference every day as a Children Support Worker with Paragon Social Care. You will support children and young people in local authority care, helping them build confidence, develop independence and achieve brighter futures. The role combines practical and emotional support within residential homes and community‑based settings.

Key responsibilities

• Provide safe, consistent, trauma‑informed care and act as a positive role model.
• Build professional relationships based on trust and respect.
• Support daily routines, education, life‑skills and encourage hobbies and community participation.
• Transport young people to school, appointments and activities.
• Work closely with social workers, families and other professionals, maintaining accurate records and contributing to safeguarding processes.

Required profile

• Caring, patient and dependable, with emotional resilience.
• Calm under pressure and a confident communicator.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible, adaptable and passionate about helping young people reach their potential.
• Full UK driving licence, own vehicle and availability for 2‑3 shifts per week.
• Willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
