Children's Home Residential Support Worker

About the role

This full‑time position is based in a children’s residential home in Bootle. You will work two consecutive days and nights followed by four days off, providing live‑in support for an 11‑year‑old boy with challenging behaviour.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare breakfast, assist with dressing, and ensure the child gets to school on time.
• Handle laundry, school pick‑ups, and prepare dinner.
• Support personal hygiene routines, including bathing and bedtime.
• Provide emotional support and promote learning and development in a stable, loving environment.

Required profile

• Live within commuting distance of Bootle.
• Full UK driving licence; own vehicle preferred.
• NVQ Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People’s Workforce (or working towards it).
• Experience working in children’s homes or similar settings.

Required skills

• Ability to follow care plans and support routines.
• Basic cooking and household management skills.

What we offer

• Hourly rate of £13.49 (no Level 3) or £15.02 (with Level 3).
• £60 per sleep‑in shift.
