Children's Panel Solicitor – Leicester

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Children’s Panel Solicitor or Legal Executive to join a leading childcare law team in Leicester. The role involves representing children in complex, high‑impact cases across England and offers strong career progression within a respected Legal 500 firm.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of care proceedings, including Emergency Protection Orders, Special Guardianship and adoption matters.
• Handle private law applications such as Rule 16.4 instructions and provide separate representation for competent children.
• Deliver clear, practical legal advice to clients while liaising with courts and other professionals.

Required profile

• Children’s Panel accreditation (essential).
• Minimum 5 years post‑qualification experience in childcare law.
• Strong advocacy skills with confidence appearing in court.
• Ability to handle complex public and private childcare matters with empathy and professionalism.
