Children's Residential Support Worker – Full Time

About the role
Join a vibrant children’s residential home where you will play a pivotal role in the daily lives of young people with social, emotional and mental health needs. You will help them regain a sense of childhood while building pathways toward a stable adulthood.
Key responsibilities
- Support young people with morning routines, school preparation and homework.
- Complete necessary paperwork and maintain accurate records.
- Plan and deliver a variety of activities, from sports and games to creative projects.
- Provide evening and weekend supervision, including recreational time on Xbox, football, film days or outings such as go‑karting.
- Participate in on‑call sleep‑ins (1‑2 per month) to ensure overnight safety and continuity of care.
Required profile
- Commitment to reliable attendance and willingness to undertake occasional sleep‑ins.
- Enthusiasm for working with young people and supporting their personal development.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and occasional overnight shifts.
Required skills
What we offer
- Base salary ranging from £29,034 to £35,400 per year.
- Additional sleep‑in allowance (£80 per night) and attendance allowance (£1,400 per year).
- Welcome bonus (£1,000 after 6 months) and loyalty bonus (£1,000 after 12 months).
- 7 weeks paid holiday and a flexible benefits package (adjustable holiday, pension and life insurance).
- Four‑week induction via the Care Academy and access to the ‘Aspire’ future managers programme.
