Children's Support Worker – Clacton – £15‑£16 per hour

About the role

We are looking for a caring Children’s Support Worker to join our team in Clacton on a temporary basis. You will provide day‑to‑day support for children in care, helping them feel safe, develop emotionally and achieve personal goals.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver daily support to children in care, promoting safety, wellbeing and personal development.
• Encourage positive behaviour, healthy relationships and stability.
• Collaborate with social workers, educators and other professionals to implement care plans.
• Maintain accurate daily records, incident reports and handovers.
• Identify and report safeguarding concerns promptly.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year experience in health and social care in the UK, preferably with children or young people.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
• Flexibility to work varied hours and travel to different locations.
• Valid DBS (we can assist with the application).

Required skills

• Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification (preferred).
• Driving licence or willingness to travel to assignments.
