Children's Support Worker – Flexible Temporary & Block Bookings

About the role

We are seeking emotionally resilient care specialists to join our intensive response team in Liskeard and Saltash. You will provide calm, steady support to young people in crisis placements, helping restore safety and routine.

Key responsibilities

• Build strong, trust‑based relationships with vulnerable youth using trauma‑informed approaches.
• De‑escalate physical aggression or self‑harm situations with composure and professional techniques.
• Produce accurate daily reports that inform long‑term therapeutic plans.
• Identify underlying trauma behind complex behaviours and contribute to individualized care strategies.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 months paid experience in a UK residential, youth or complex care setting.
• Patient, non‑judgmental, and highly structured approach to volatile behaviours.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for community integration support.
• Ability to work effectively in high‑pressure, unpredictable environments.
