Children's Support Worker – Part‑time (£15‑18/hour)

About the role
The Children’s Support Worker provides essential support to vulnerable children and young people in Portsmouth. Working on a flexible, temporary basis, you will help build resilience and promote positive coping strategies alongside families, schools and health professionals.
Key responsibilities
- Support children and young people in a variety of settings, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
- Collaborate with families, schools, social workers and healthcare professionals to coordinate care plans.
- Promote resilience and positive coping mechanisms through tailored activities and guidance.
- Maintain accurate records and share relevant information with the multidisciplinary team.
Required profile
- Minimum 6 months experience in a child or youth support role.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles.
- Ability to work flexibly across different settings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
