Chiller Engineer – Applied Service Engineer

About the role

The Applied Engineer will deliver on‑site service for a range of chiller, heat‑pump and air‑conditioning equipment across the UK. Acting as the face of Mitsubishi Electric, you will combine excellent customer service with strong engineering and problem‑solving abilities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and quoted works at customer sites.
• Respond to emergency call‑outs and participate in a standby rota.
• Commission, start‑up and troubleshoot a variety of HVAC systems, including Mitsubishi Electric, Climaveneta and other major brands.
• Document all work electronically in real time and submit reports to the regional service office.
• Provide on‑site technical advice and act as a coach for less experienced team members.
• Assist the Regional Service Manager in building positive customer relationships and identifying remedial work.

Required profile

• Willingness to travel extensively across a defined UK region, with occasional overnight stays.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a service team.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Relevant technical qualifications for HVAC service and maintenance.
