CISRS Instructor / Scaffolding Trainer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced CISRS Instructor / Scaffolding Trainer to deliver accredited scaffolding courses, technical coaching and assessments from our dedicated training centre and on‑site at customer locations across the UK. You will support apprentices, experienced operatives and employers, while contributing to course development and maintaining the highest standards of quality, health and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the full suite of CISRS scaffolding courses in line with awarding‑body requirements.
• Provide technical coaching, guidance and support to learners throughout training and assessment.
• Ensure training is delivered consistently, professionally and meets quality standards.
• Contribute technical expertise to develop new courses and improve existing programmes.
• Mentor trainee instructors and existing assessors, offering technical leadership.
• Promote health, safety and environmental best practice in all activities.
• Maintain compliance with CISRS requirements and company policies.
• Travel to customer sites across England, Wales and Scotland to deliver on‑site training.

Required profile

• Level 3 teaching qualification or equivalent recognised by CISRS.
• CISRS‑approved Part 1 and Part 2 Instructor status with a current CISRS Advanced Card.
• Level 3 First Aid at Work certification.
• Strong scaffolding knowledge with the ability to coach and develop others.
• Excellent organisational, planning and time‑management abilities.
• Willingness and ability to travel throughout the UK; based within commuting distance of Derby.
