CISRS Instructor / Scaffolding Trainer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced CISRS Instructor / Scaffolding Trainer to deliver accredited scaffolding courses and technical coaching across the UK. Based at our Derby training centre, you will work with apprentices, operatives and employers to ensure safe and compliant scaffolding practices.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the full suite of CISRS scaffolding courses at the training centre and on‑site in England, Wales and Scotland.
• Provide technical coaching, guidance and assessment support to learners.
• Maintain high training standards in line with CISRS and company quality systems.
• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of training materials and new courses.
• Mentor trainee instructors and existing assessors, offering technical leadership.
• Promote health, safety and environmental best practice throughout all activities.
• Ensure compliance with CISRS requirements and internal policies.
• Travel to customer sites as required.

Required profile

• Level 3 teaching qualification or equivalent recognised by CISRS.
• CISRS approved Part 1 and Part 2 Instructor status with a current CISRS Advanced Card.
• Level 3 First Aid certification.
• Strong scaffolding knowledge and ability to coach others.
• Excellent presentation, communication and organisational skills.
• Willingness to travel throughout the UK and residence within commuting distance of Derby.
