Civil Engineer – Multi-disciplinary Property Consultancy

About the role

We are an award‑winning, employee‑owned property consultancy looking for a motivated Civil Engineer to join our growing engineering team. Based in Braintree (with occasional work from London), the role offers a varied portfolio of projects across the UK and strong professional development support.

Key responsibilities

• Produce technical designs using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Prepare engineering calculations and hydraulic models under senior guidance.
• Assist with drainage, highways and infrastructure design.
• Inspect existing infrastructure and compile technical reports.
• Create project drawings and final documentation.
• Attend client meetings, design reviews and pre‑contract site visits.
• Coordinate with multi‑disciplinary project teams.
• Ensure designs comply with UK standards and regulations.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent recognised qualification.
• Basic working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D and InfoDrainage.
• Understanding of drainage, infrastructure and civil engineering design principles.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive approach to professional development and desire to achieve EngTech, IEng or CEng status.
• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle.
• Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
