Civil Engineer – Poole

About the role

We are partnering with a respected engineering consultancy in Poole, seeking a Civil Engineer to join their growing civils team. The role offers exposure to a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, educational and infrastructure projects, from concept through to delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the development and detailed design of civil engineering schemes, including highways, drainage, earthworks and related infrastructure.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports and design documentation in line with current standards.
• Produce high‑quality engineering drawings and 3D models using industry‑standard software.
• Support project delivery, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget and to required quality.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and other stakeholders throughout the design process.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate designs and resolve technical challenges.
• Conduct site visits, surveys and inspections to gather information and monitor progress.

Required profile

• Experience working within a civil engineering consultancy or similar environment.
• Knowledge of highways, drainage and infrastructure design.
• Strong technical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Commitment to delivering high‑quality work and client service.

• AutoCAD (including Vehicle Tracking)
• Civil 3D
• MicroDrainage
• PDS (roads, drainage, traffic signs and road markings)
