Civil Engineers - Water Sector

About the role

These positions focus on non‑infrastructure water projects delivered in a fast‑paced design‑and‑build environment. Whether based near one of our regional offices or working flexibly, you will join a collaborative team delivering solutions that have a direct, lasting impact on communities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and contribute to civil engineering design for water‑sector projects.
• Produce high‑quality calculations, technical specifications and detailed designs.
• Collect, analyse and manage project data.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary designs and manage technical interfaces.
• Monitor budgets, programmes and deliverables to ensure quality outcomes.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Review bids, subcontractor designs and provide on‑site technical support.
• Support and mentor junior and graduate engineers.

Required profile

• Degree (BSc or MSc) in Civil Engineering.
• Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards chartership.
• Experience in water or wastewater detailed design.
• Familiarity with CDM, procurement and document control processes.
• Strong collaboration and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Proactive approach to delivery with focus on quality and deadlines.
