Civil Litigation Solicitor – Varied Caseload & Career Progression

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established Eastbourne law firm that is expanding its litigation team. The successful candidate will join a busy practice handling a genuinely varied civil litigation portfolio, offering immediate client contact and responsibility from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Manage an independent caseload covering property disputes, landlord‑tenant matters, commercial disputes and employment‑related issues.
• Maintain direct client communication by phone and face‑to‑face, building strong relationships and delivering high‑quality service.
• Prepare and file court documents, attend hearings and liaise with opposing counsel.
• Collaborate with senior partners to develop case strategy and ensure timely resolution.
• Identify opportunities for business development and networking within the local market.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with at least 2 years post‑qualification experience.
• Proven experience across a range of civil litigation matters.
• Confident communicator with excellent client‑care skills.
• Organised, proactive and detail‑oriented, able to work independently.
• Interest in networking and business development.
