Cladding & Facades Designer (South Coast)

About the role

We are seeking a Cladding & Facades Designer to join our South Coast team. Reporting to the Senior Design Manager, you will create and update design drawings based on site surveys and specifications, ensuring projects meet budget and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Create, monitor and revise assigned design drawings.
• Liaise with manufacturers and project teams, distributing relevant documentation.
• Respond to technical queries and recommend solutions.
• Undertake site inspections to verify technical quality and compliance.
• Prepare information for site setup from start to close.
• Attend regular meetings with site teams and produce fabrication drawings for procurement.
• Collate data for standards to be passed to clients and funders.
• Visit sites regularly, both planned and ad‑hoc, and advise the Design Manager on necessary changes.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Architecture or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in facades, external wall insulation (EWI), cladding and rainscreen systems.
• CSCS card or willingness to obtain one.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word and Microsoft Outlook.

Required skills

• Expert use of AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of 3D AutoCAD, SketchUp or Revit (advantageous).
