Claims and Inquests Paralegal Apprentice (Level 3)

About the role

This apprenticeship offers motivated individuals the chance to earn a Level 3 Paralegal qualification while gaining hands‑on experience in the Clinical Legal Services Team of a major NHS Trust. Over 24 months you will rotate between the Claims and Inquests teams, spending 12 months in each area.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day administrative support for clinical negligence, personal injury claims and coroner’s inquests.
• Assist managers with case preparation, document handling and filing.
• Maintain accurate records and update case management systems under supervision.
• Cross‑cover between Claims and Inquests teams to ensure continuity of service.
• Support the delivery of healthcare law advice as required.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic candidate eligible for a Level 3 Paralegal apprenticeship.
• Willingness to work on a 12‑month rotation between Claims and Inquests teams.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a busy in‑house legal department.
