Claims Handler

About the role

We are looking for a proactive, customer‑focused Claims Handler to join our growing insurance team in Guildford. You will be the first point of contact for clients making claims, managing each case from initial receipt through to resolution while ensuring a professional and efficient service.

Key responsibilities

• Handle claims efficiently from receipt to resolution, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
• Process instructions, correspondence and prepare reports, ensuring all claim activity is fully recorded.
• Act as the primary contact for clients and stakeholders, responding to telephone and email enquiries and providing regular updates.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver excellent service and support audit, compliance and review activities.
• Maintain accurate records across internal systems and assist with claims reporting and management information.
• Complete relevant training and CPD, staying up‑to‑date with industry, regulatory and policy developments.

Required profile

• Previous experience in claims handling, insurance administration or a similar insurance‑based role.
• Strong written and verbal communication with a professional, customer‑focused approach.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple claims and priorities.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Understanding of FCA regulations and compliance requirements.
