Claims Handler – Public & Employers Liability (CH4)

About the role

Keoghs LLP is seeking an experienced Claims Handler to manage a portfolio of Public and Employers Liability claims ranging from £30,000 to £50,000. You will oversee each claim from inception through pre‑litigation settlement, ensuring high‑quality service and compliance with client SLAs.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively manage a caseload of Public Liability, Employers Liability, Product Liability and Property Damage claims.
• Maintain accurate data in the case management system and allocate new claims with appropriate strategies.
• Meet client SLA targets and uphold quality and productivity standards.
• Supervise junior team members, provide training, and mentor staff.
• Participate in client review meetings and support project work as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of claims handling experience, including quantum up to £50k.
• Strong track record dealing with complex liability and quantum issues.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritise workload.
• Proven communication, negotiation and client relationship skills.

Required skills

• Experience with case management systems (specific platforms not required).
