Claims Technical Lead – Complex Bodily Injury

About the role

We are looking for a Claims Technical Lead to strengthen the technical capability of our Motor Bodily Injury function. You will work closely with senior leaders to shape strategy, coach high‑value claim handlers and ensure consistent, high‑quality outcomes for customers and the business.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Head of Large Loss to define and implement the unit’s technical strategy for claims up to £250k.
• Design and roll out a structured development pathway that builds confidence and progression for high‑value injury handlers.
• Provide day‑to‑day technical coaching, act as the primary referral point for complex bodily injury claims, and mentor senior handlers.
• Travel to site locations to deliver training sessions and facilitate knowledge sharing.
• Partner with specialist, front‑line colleagues and leadership to drive continuous improvement in claim assessment and handling processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in handling and mentoring high‑value bodily injury claims.
• Strong technical acumen with a passion for developing others in a changing environment.
• Willingness to travel for on‑site training and support.
• Ability to influence and collaborate across multiple teams and senior stakeholders.
