Class 1 Curtainsider Driver – Dagenham

About the role

GXO Logistics is seeking an experienced Class 1 Curtainsider Driver to join the Breedon Cement team in Dagenham. You will operate on a nationwide delivery network, transporting bulk powder and palletised cement to key distribution points and construction sites.

Key responsibilities

• Drive a Class 1 curtainsider vehicle to deliver palletised cement products.
• Complete timely collections and deliveries across designated routes.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and records.
• Perform vehicle checks and routine maintenance to ensure roadworthiness.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and site procedures.
• Cover two contracted night shifts per week when required.

Required profile

• Valid Category C+E (Class 1) UK driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Flexible working hours with a start window between 04:00‑07:00.
• Previous experience operating curtainsider vehicles (advantageous).
• Strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Physically fit to handle equipment safely.

Required skills

• Category C+E (Class 1) driving licence.
• Driver CPC certification.
• Digital Tachograph operation.
• Curtainsider vehicle handling.
