Class 1 Day Driver

About the role

GXO Logistics in Swindon is seeking an experienced Class 1 Day Driver to support its new client, City Plumbing. The role is full‑time, permanent and involves early‑morning shifts between 04:00 and 07:00, Monday to Friday.

Key responsibilities

• Complete 3 to 4 delivery drops per day, ensuring timely and accurate service.
• Operate the vehicle safely and legally, confirming correct loading before departure (no handball required).
• Accurately complete all required documentation in line with company policy.
• Use automated lift decks when required during daily operations.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence with C+E entitlement.
• Minimum one year of Class 1 driving experience.
• No more than six penalty points and no disqualifying endorsements.
• Valid CPC certificate and digital tachograph.

Required skills

• Safe and legal operation of heavy goods vehicles.
• Accurate record‑keeping and documentation.
• Ability to operate automated lift equipment.
