Class 1 Dayshift Driver

About the role

Kinaxia Logistics is hiring Class 1 Dayshift Drivers for its Gateshead site. The position involves delivering and collecting goods Monday‑Friday (with occasional Saturdays) while ensuring safe, timely transport.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness.
• Arrive on time and report any issues to the traffic office.
• Follow company, customer procedures and the Highway Code.
• Maintain health and safety standards.
• Complete deliveries and collections as per the manifest.
• Comply with EU tachograph and Working Time Directive regulations.
• Keep the vehicle clean and tidy.
• Carry out pallet‑truck and tail‑lift deliveries.

Required profile

• Full LGV C&E (Class 1) licence held for at least two years.
• Valid Driver Qualification Card (DQC) / Driver CPC.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good communication skills and geographical knowledge.
