Class 1 Driver – HGV (4 on 4 off)

About the role

We are looking for a Class 1 HGV driver to join Gregory Distribution Ltd in Bristol. You will operate curtain‑side, box and refrigerated trailers on a 4‑on‑4‑off rota, delivering goods to retail locations across the South West.

Key responsibilities

• Operate single and double‑deck trailers, including curtain‑side, box and refrigerated units.
• Load, secure and unload goods using straps, nets and other securing devices.
• Conduct comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using the company‑provided phone.
• Communicate progress and any issues to the transport team.
• Participate in regular training and industry‑standard updates.

Required profile

• Valid UK Class 1 CE licence.
• Current DCPC card and digital tachograph driver card.
• Experience delivering loads directly to client sites (advantageous).
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to meet deadlines.
• Good geographical knowledge of the South West.
• Fit, flexible, hardworking and self‑motivated.
