Class 1 Night Driver (HGV 1/C+E)

About the role

DX Network Services is seeking a reliable Class 1 driver for night‑shift deliveries across Cambridge and the wider East Anglia region. You will join a team that values safety, punctuality and customer service while transporting parcels and freight to customers and central hubs.

Key responsibilities

• Transport goods to and from customers’ premises and DX hubs on a night‑shift schedule.
• Meet tight delivery deadlines and manage on‑road routes efficiently.
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle checks and report any defects.
• Comply with on‑site health and safety requirements and adapt routes when traffic conditions change.

Required profile

• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 (1/C+E) licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• No DD/DR code convictions.
• Current and valid DCPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence) card.

Required skills

• Safe and legal operation of heavy goods vehicles.
• Knowledge of driver’s hours and Working Time Directive legislation.
• Ability to conduct thorough vehicle safety checks.
