Class 1 Night Driver – HGV C+E

About the role

We are looking for a Class 1 night‑shift driver to join DX Network Services in Leeds. You will transport parcels and freight between customer premises and our hubs, ensuring timely deliveries throughout the night.

Key responsibilities

• Drive HGV Class 1 vehicles safely and legally, complying with all road regulations.
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle checks and report any defects.
• Manage on‑road routes to meet time‑sensitive delivery deadlines.
• Adhere to driver’s hours, WTD legislation and on‑site health and safety requirements.
• Divert routes as needed due to traffic, signs or other conditions.

Required profile

• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence with no more than 6 penalty points and no DD/DR convictions.
• Possess a current DCPC card.
• Demonstrated ability to work night shifts and meet delivery targets.

Required skills

• Safe vehicle operation and compliance with legal requirements.
• Understanding of driver’s hours and WTD legislation.
• Ability to conduct vehicle safety checks and report issues.
