Class 1 Night Driver – HGV (Night Shift)

About the role

Join Gregory Distribution Ltd as a Class 1 Night Driver, delivering refrigerated goods across the Southwest and Midlands on a night‑shift schedule. You will operate modern Scania and Volvo trucks, providing reliable service to our customers while enjoying a supportive team environment.

Key responsibilities

• Safely unload refrigerated vehicles, typically handling up to three deliveries per day.
• Operate palletised handling equipment such as pump trucks and perform trailer swaps as required.
• Drive a fleet of Scania and Volvo vehicles that are less than six months old.
• Deliver goods to depots and client sites, adhering to planned routes and schedules.
• Provide professional customer service in person and over the phone.
• Maintain clear communication with the transport team, offering real‑time updates.
• Participate in regular training to stay current with safety and operational standards.

Required profile

• Valid UK Class 1 CE licence.
• Current DCPC card and digital tachograph driver card.
• Experience delivering loads directly to client sites (advantageous).
• Strong geographical knowledge of the Southwest and Midlands.
• Fit, flexible, hardworking and self‑motivated.

Required skills

• Operate palletised handling equipment (pump trucks).
• Use digital tachograph driver card.

• Competitive salary of £39,236 per year plus £2.75 per hour for night hours (21:00‑04:00).
