About the role
We are seeking an experienced Class 1 Shunter Driver to join our West Thurrock yard on a full‑time, immediate‑start basis. You will be responsible for moving trailers safely and efficiently within a busy logistics environment.
Key responsibilities
- Safely manoeuvre trailers around the yard to support daily operations.
- Couple and uncouple trailers accurately and in compliance with safety standards.
- Position vehicles efficiently to optimise workflow and minimise delays.
- Maintain clear communication with yard staff and follow operational procedures.
Required profile
- Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) driving licence.
- Previous shunting experience in a yard or similar environment.
- Confidence in coupling and uncoupling trailers.
- Ability to work independently, using own initiative.
- Strong focus on safety, punctuality and professionalism.
