Class 1 Tramper Driver – 4 on 4 off schedule

About the role

Tradebe UK is looking for reliable HGV Class 1 Tramper Drivers to join its transport team. You will safely move customers' waste across the UK, following a 4‑on‑4‑off shift pattern that includes overnight stays. This role offers a stable, full‑time position with a clear career path in the waste‑management sector.

Key responsibilities

• Transport waste safely and professionally in line with company policies and legal requirements.
• Complete all paperwork, consignment notes and transport documentation accurately at the end of each shift.
• Perform thorough vehicle checks before and after each shift.
• Drive in compliance with Road Traffic Law, the Highway Code and ADR regulations.
• Report any vehicle defects promptly to the line manager or shift supervisor.
• Adhere to site rules at customer locations and wear required PPE at all times.
• Undertake overnight trips and change‑overs across the UK as part of the tramper role.

Required profile

• Willingness to travel extensively (happy to tramp).
• Good communication skills.
• Valid HGV Class C+E licence.
• Valid CPC card and digital tachograph.
• Understanding of EU driver and working‑time regulations.

What we offer

• Competitive salary £36,500 per year with OTE up to £50,000 through overtime and bonuses.
• Overtime paid at 1.5× rate.
