Class 1 Tramper Driver – North Tawton

About the role

Join Gregory Distribution Ltd as a Class 1 Tramper Driver based in North Tawton. You will operate curtain‑sided trailers, delivering customer goods across the UK while enjoying a varied schedule that includes nights away and weekend work.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and deliver loads from North Tawton, Cullompton and Ernesettle depots as required.
• Secure cargo using ratchet straps and perform manual handling safely.
• Use a handheld PDA to complete paperwork and update the transport team on progress.
• Maintain constant communication with customers and internal teams to meet service expectations.
• Participate in regular training to stay current with industry standards.

Required profile

• Hold a valid UK Class 1 CE licence.
• Current DCPC card and Digital Tachograph driver card.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to meet deadlines.
• Good geographical knowledge and a flexible, self‑motivated attitude.
