Class 2 / 18 Tonne Collection and Delivery Driver

About the role

DPD is seeking a professional Class 2 / 18 tonne driver to become the face of its brand in Bicester. You will manage multi‑drop collections and deliveries across the local area, ensuring parcels reach customers on time while representing the company’s commitment to sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Execute scheduled collections and deliveries, meeting time‑critical deadlines.
• Maintain a safe, road‑worthy 18 tonne vehicle and keep it presentable.
• Use handheld Saturn devices and route‑planning software to optimise routes.
• Collaborate with warehouse and dispatch teams to ensure smooth parcel flow.
• Adhere to all road traffic laws, company policies, and health‑and‑safety standards.

Required profile

• Valid Category C (Class 2) licence, DQC/CPC accreditation and UK Digital Tachograph card.
• Minimum 1 year experience driving Class 2 or equivalent vehicles.
• Strong geographical knowledge of Bicester and surrounding areas.
• Physically fit, able to lift heavy parcels and work under pressure.
• Customer‑focused attitude with a flexible, "can‑do" mindset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Saturn handheld device.
• Experience using route‑planning software.
• Ability to operate a digital tachograph.
