Class 2 Driver – Day Shifts

About the role

Join Grundon's Operations team in Colnbrook as a Class 2 Driver working day shifts. You will operate waste collection vehicles safely and efficiently, contributing to reliable waste collection and disposal services across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out daily vehicle checks, complete defect/damage reports and follow escalation procedures.
• Comply with tachograph legislation, Working Time Directive and all company SOPs, risk assessments and health‑and‑safety requirements.
• Report incidents, near misses, contaminated bins and non‑conforming waste, ensuring accurate paperwork and job tickets.
• Maintain vehicles to a high standard, including cleanliness and weekly wheel‑nut torque checks.
• Provide excellent service to colleagues and customers, demonstrating reliability and strong time‑keeping.
• Be flexible with working hours and available for occasional overtime to meet depot needs.

Required profile

• Hold a full UK driving licence.
• Valid LGV Class 2 (Category C) licence and Driver Qualification Card (DQC).
• Commitment to health and safety and ability to work flexible hours.
