Class 2 Driver – Delivery to Pubs & Bars

About the role

This is a practical Class 2 driving position delivering drinks to pubs, bars and customers across the South West. The role combines safe, compliant driving with hands‑on delivery work and requires a professional, customer‑focused attitude.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
• Deliver drinks to assigned locations on time, following the planned route.
• Load and unload stock using appropriate equipment and manual handling techniques.
• Secure loads with proper restraints to prevent movement during transit.
• Check deliveries against paperwork and ensure accuracy at each drop.
• Collect empties (kegs, cases, gas bottles) and return them safely to the depot.
• Communicate any delivery issues, shortages or delays to customers.
• Complete delivery paperwork or handheld device tasks and collect payments when required.
• Support the warehouse team with loading, sorting returns and other duties as needed.

Required profile

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence, Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• Good understanding of driver hours, tachograph rules and Working Time Directive.
• Knowledge of safe loading practices and load restraint systems.
• Reliable, team‑oriented and able to maintain a professional appearance.
