Class 2 Driver

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Class 2 driver to deliver drinks to pubs, bars and customers from our Romford depot. The role involves safe, compliant driving and hands‑on loading and unloading of stock, working as part of a team on a Tuesday‑Friday schedule with occasional Monday or Saturday shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily vehicle checks and report defects to ensure roadworthiness.
• Deliver drinks to designated locations on time, following planned routes.
• Load and unload stock using appropriate equipment, securing loads with restraints.
• Collect and return empties such as kegs, cases and gas bottles.
• Complete delivery paperwork, operate handheld devices and collect payments where required.
• Communicate any delivery issues, shortages or delays to customers.
• Support the warehouse team with loading, sorting returns and other tasks.
• Adhere to health & safety procedures, driver hours, tachograph and Working Time Directive regulations.

Required profile

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence, Driver CPC and digital tachograph card.
• Understanding of driver hours, tachograph rules and safe loading practices.
• Reliable, team‑oriented with good communication and professional attitude.
• Willingness to start between 04:30 and 07:00 and work the specified rota.
