Class 2 Driver

About the role

Driver Hire Southampton is looking for reliable Class 2 (HGV Cat C) drivers to support clients across Hampshire. The role offers flexible weekday and weekend shifts with a minimum of eight paid hours per day. Both day (6 am‑6 pm) and night (6 pm‑6 am) shifts are available.

Key responsibilities

• Perform multi‑drop deliveries and trunk runs.
• Handle general distribution, caged goods, timber and frozen food deliveries.
• Carry out ADR‑qualified transport where required.
• Operate both day and night shift patterns.

Required profile

• Full UK Class 2 (HGV Cat C) licence.
• Valid CPC certificate and digital tachograph card.
• Flexible, reliable and professional attitude.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Newly qualified drivers are welcome.

Required skills

• Tail‑lift operation.
• Load securing techniques.
• ADR handling (where applicable).
• Digital tachograph usage.
