About the role
Platinum People are seeking a Class 2 Driver to join their highways team operating across the Cumbria road network. The role is full‑time, Monday‑Friday, starting at 07:00, and involves working in a two‑person crew to maintain and repair highways.
Key responsibilities
- Respond to highway defects such as potholes and carriageway repairs.
- Operate a 7.5 ton vehicle safely and efficiently.
- Perform labour‑intensive tasks required for road maintenance.
- Maintain high safety and quality standards while on site.
- Attend a paid full‑day induction covering health & safety and mandatory drug/alcohol testing.
Required profile
- Valid Class 2 driving licence.
- Digi Card.
- CPC Card.
- Willingness to work Monday‑Friday, 07:00 start, on the Cumbria highways network.
