Class 2 Driver (Trade Waste) – PM Shift

About the role

Join Countrystyle Recycling as a Class 2 Driver on the PM shift, collecting trade waste for commercial customers across Sittingbourne and the surrounding area. You will operate dustcarts, provide a professional customer‑facing service, and help the company meet its environmental targets.

Key responsibilities

• Perform pre‑ and post‑shift vehicle inspections and complete the Vehicle Defect sheet.
• Collect and empty customer waste bins and sacks using company dustcarts.
• Ensure CCTV cameras are functional and correctly positioned before each route.
• Report any vehicle defects, tyre issues, or incidents to the Fleet Office promptly.
• Complete all assigned collection tasks within the scheduled working day.
• Accurately submit paperwork and maintain communication with the Fleet Office.
• Refuel vehicles after returning to the depot and attend end‑of‑day debriefs.
• Secure loads, wear required PPE, and follow health‑ and safety procedures at all times.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of HGV driving experience.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
• Commitment to health, safety and reporting of unsafe conditions.
• Valid HGV Class 2 licence with current CPC and digi‑tacho.
