About the role

Driver Hire Southampton is seeking reliable Class 2 HGV drivers to collect household waste for a prestigious client in the Southampton area. The position offers a stable Monday‑to‑Friday schedule with early finishes, allowing a healthy work‑life balance.

Key responsibilities

• Drive a Class 2 (Category C) refuse vehicle safely on designated routes.
• Load waste bags manually into the vehicle and ensure secure transport.
• Maintain punctuality and reliability while delivering a consistent service.
• Work collaboratively with the crew and follow on‑site safety procedures.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence with a valid Class 2 (Category C) entitlement.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good physical fitness for manual handling tasks.
• Reliability, punctuality and a safety‑focused attitude.
• Own transport to reach the depot.
