Class 2 HGV Driver – Full‑time, Eastleigh

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Class 2 HGV driver for a permanent, full-time position based at our Botley depot serving Eastleigh and surrounding areas. The role involves operating specialist vehicles to support commercial, industrial and environmental customers, with full training provided.

Key responsibilities

• Drive and operate Class 2 HGV specialist vehicles to customer sites.
• Perform scheduled and reactive trips, completing daily vehicle and equipment safety checks.
• Assist with safe collection, transportation and disposal of materials.
• Operate specialist equipment following training and adhere to health, safety and environmental procedures.
• Accurately complete driver paperwork and electronic job records.
• Maintain clean, safe and well-maintained vehicles and equipment, reporting defects promptly.
• Provide professional customer service and support colleagues with site-based duties.
• Work overtime and respond to call-outs as required.

Required profile

• Valid HGV Class 2 / Category C driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital tachograph card.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Reliable, flexible and willing to learn.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work additional hours when needed.
