Class 2 Refuse Collection Driver – Full‑Time

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Class 2 Refuse Collection Driver to join a busy waste‑management operation in Little Hulton. This permanent, full‑time position offers a stable schedule, competitive hourly rates and the chance to work with a professional team.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a Class 2 (C) refuse collection vehicle, including front‑loader functions.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and complete all required paperwork accurately.
• Provide courteous customer service while representing the business professionally.
• Adhere to road transport legislation, health & safety procedures and drivers’ hours regulations.
• Work a rotating rota: five days a week, one weekend in five, with 04:00 start times and 10‑hour shifts.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months experience driving a refuse collection vehicle.
• Valid Class 2 (C) licence with no more than six penalty points.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph card.
• Good knowledge of drivers’ hours rules and road transport legislation.
• Clean driving record – no DD, DR or IN10 endorsements.

What we offer

• £15 ph (days), £17 ph (nights), £20 ph for weekend work.
• Potential performance bonus of £125 per week and quarterly accident bonus of £250.
• 31 days paid holiday (subject to booking approval).
• PAYE employment with an estimated annual earnings of £39,000–£45,500 including bonuses.
