Class 2 Skip Driver – Full‑time Temp‑to‑Perm

About the role

We are seeking a Class 2 (Category C) driver to join a leading waste‑management contractor on a 12‑week temp‑to‑perm basis. The role involves a full‑time schedule, Monday‑Friday, starting at 06:45 and delivering approximately 50 hours of work each week.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver, collect and exchange skips for commercial and residential clients.
• Operate Skip, RoRo and Tipper vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and record deliveries using a PDA.
• Use a digital tachograph to monitor driver hours and comply with regulations.
• Maintain health‑ and safety standards and adhere to scheduled time slots.

Required profile

• Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Current Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• Own transport to reach the depot.
• Willingness to undertake full training; newly qualified drivers are encouraged to apply.
• Basic understanding of health & safety and driver‑hours legislation.

Required skills

• Operating Skip, RoRo and Tipper vehicles.
• PDA usage for delivery recording.
• Digital tachograph operation.
• Chain handling for load securement.
