Class 2 Skip Driver

About the role

Driver Hire Southampton is seeking a Class 2 (Category C) driver to join a well‑established waste‑sector client. This is a 12‑week temporary‑to‑permanent position working Monday to Friday, starting at 06:45 am and delivering around 50 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver, collect and exchange skips using Skip, RoRo and Tipper vehicles.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and record deliveries via a PDA.
• Ensure all deliveries are completed within the allocated time slots.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and adhere to health & safety and tachograph regulations.

Required profile

• Full UK Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Valid CPC and digital tachograph card.
• Newly qualified drivers are welcome; experience with RoRo/skip operations is a plus.
• Own transport for commuting to the workplace.

Required skills

• CPC certification.
• Digital tachograph operation.
• PDA usage for delivery recording.
